Capcom’s action RPG, Dragon’s Dogma, offers up a sprawling open world, interesting classes, and an array of enemies to battle this May. Luckily, players interested in the game can download the demo today for free.
The demo lets players try out two quests as two specific classes; however, the game will give the player several class options like the Mystic Knight, the Magick Archer, and many more. Additionally, players can create their character’s appearance and their main pawn’s appearance in the demo. This content will be saved and can be used in the full game when it releases.
The demo allows gamers to try out one, short mission as the Fighter class battling a chimera. The Fighter wields a sword and shield in a fight to the death with the lion/goat headed fiend. Along the way, he encounters harpies and goblins during the mission, but can easily dispose of them with his sword.
The other quest present in the demo involves a Strider character class taking down a griffin. In this quest, a custom character can be used if the player creates one within the demo. This means players can use the character they’ve created in preparation of the game’s release in the demo. It’s an excellent way to preview the character and all its features in action.
The demo is available now on Xbox Live and the Playstation Network. Dragon’s Dogma releases on May 22nd, 2012.
